For the 12th consecutive year, The Highland Mint has been commissioned by the NFL to produce the official coin used for the coin toss at the Super Bowl. Each coin is triple struck to the highest standards in minting tradition. The coin used for the toss is coin #1 and goes to the Hall of Fame after the game. This is the only coin licensed to feature the prestigious Vince Lombardi Trophy. The bronze coin is made of solid bronze with an antique finish and is limited to a mintage of 10,000 pieces. The front of the bronze coin features the team helmets and Vince Lombardi Trophy.
